Lorna and Ray, plus Conner, Tyler , Wally, all the other 2 and four-legged furry and feathered friends and the fish. A super pond; well done. We just love the domesticity of the chickens etc, and congratulate you on being able to maintain such a diversity of wildlife. What extra awaits us in 2011 we wonder!!?

An excellent site and we look forward to hearing the progress on loo/shower block. The old woodshed was artistic and rustic, but will be much nicer once Ray has finished the banging and crashing, screwing and sawing!!!!!!!!! Good luck with it.

It is a beautiful site upon which to relax and to use as a base for N Devon and Cornwall, and we will definitely be back. It is well designed too with the ring-road in the centre and we were able to relax wonderfully after a difficult year. The recommendation for Sunday lunch in the pub was well made and lived up to description, and not too far to walk either.

Lorna and Ray, you are two superb hosts (and we agree with Steve and Caroline's comments) and it will be a pleasure to share more wine and beers next time.

Eve making excellent progress with the dressings!

Much love,

This is such a lovely site that I'm almost loath to recommend it! It is an adult only site in 1 acre grass with electric hook-ups and a little road in the middle so you can access your pitch easily.

It is peaceful and quiet with only the odd tractor passing and the views across the countryside are beautiful.

Ray and Lorna must be the most laid-back friendly owners of a CL that we have ever come across! They give you lots of tips like where to access the local lake, beaches and of course the local pub.

They have lots of animals on site so dogs must be on a lead at all times or the gander will sort you out!

The pub, The Village Inn, is amazing, the food is fantastic, well presented, fairly priced and lots of it! We would recommend that you book in advance and they let dogs in the conservatory and wandering back to the site down a little wild-flower strewn footpath is the perfect ending.

The town of Holsworthy is about 7 miles away and has a Waitrose super store and lots of local shops. The nearest dog-friendly beach was at Widemouth Bay (south-side)two quid to park all day as well!

Obviously we went in May so things may change like charges but get there and try it!

Well this year was our first ever visit to Sunny Pooh and how wonderful if was too! We would highly recommend a visit short or long to enjoy the pleasures of North Devon. We sincerely hope to be back next year which will give us the opportunity to see even more of the area. Ray and Lorna know exactly what caravanners want...............peace and tranquility in excellent surroundings. The only adverse comments (though I wouldn't call them that)we have relates to the local village shop, I'm afraid this no longer exists. Possibly another drinking water tap adjacent to the existing one might be useful.

Good Luck to you both with the new shower/toilet, it'll be interesting to hear how that all goes.

Regards,
